I shared a little bit about me on my home page, but I figured I'd dedicate a page that was just full of all the boring stuff about me. ;-) Actually, I think it is really important that you get to know your photographer and their story before booking. Booking a photo session is more than just some time behind the lens - you have to get to know one another to fully capture the perfect vision for both the photographer and the client.

 

What's my why or my purpose behind this business? Well, there are so many reasons why I decided to turn a hobby into a career. 

 

My main reason is to truly glorify God by embracing the gifts He gave me. I truly believe that capturing the beauty He created is a passion that was lit in my heart. Being able to capture special moments for people is truly astounding. It's always the big moments in life - graduating, engagements, families gathering, weddings, or any other events.

The next thing that fueled my desire for photography would be agriculture. I grew up in a family who custom harvests, so I've always been in a dusty field during harvest season. I wanted to capture the hard work, the beauty, and all the memories that go into farming. I also grew up showing livestock, so stock shows are always something I look forward to photographing. Just like harvest, there is much hard work, beauty, and memories that go into showing an animal. This is the way that I am able to actively advocate for the agricultural industry.

It wasn't until people started asking me to book sessions or to purchase canvases that I decided it was time to turn this hobby into my dream job. I'm able to combine all the important passions I have in my life into one thing. I will forever be grateful to have a camera in my hand capturing my favorite moments for me and for my friends. And if we aren't friends yet... I can't wait to become friends!
